Community Activities
The Terra Rubra Lions Club holds a wide variety of activities, and we invite the entire community to come have a good time with us. Some are fund-raising activities, but many are free of charge. We hold most of our activities at our Middleburg Activities Building, but we occasionally take the show on the road. Here are just a few of the great events brought to you by Terra Rubra.
Famous Crab Feeds
Our Crab Feeds are known all over the area as being one of the greatest values around. Not only do you get all of the freshly steamed crabs you can eat, but we throw in our homemade crab soup, crispy fried chicken, hot dogs with all the trimmings, chips, lunch meats, potato salad, soft drinks, and beer -- all for one great price. We also have raffles, a 50/50 drawing, and small games of chance, so you could walk away with more money than you came with! Tickets are limited to 250 per event, and they go fast, so reserve yours early.
Big 1500 Cash & Dinner Club
Is it a big cash raffle and a free meal, or a great meal with free chances to win cash? Either way you look at it, the Terra Rubra Big 1500 Cash and Dinner Club is a great value for $10. Each ticket enters you in a drawing for 29 cash prizes from $10 all the way up to a grand prize of $500 ... $1200 in total cash prizes! That's not all. On the day of the drawings, we'll treat every ticket holder to an all-you-can-eat fried chicken dinner with all the extras, including dessert. Even if you don't win a cash prize, you won't go home hungry. There's nothing to lose!
Scholarship Cash Bingo
Ask anyone who's been to one of our Cash Bingos, and they'll tell you what great events they are. We award only the best baskets, all filled to overflowing with extra goodies and even CA$H! We have raffles and small games of chance, and our door prizes have to be seen to be believed. We have lots of great food available for purchase, including great hot homemeade soups. So come on out and see what everyone else already knows ... nobody puts on a Cash Bingo like Terra Rubra!
Daytona 500 Party
Come celebrate the opening of the NASCAR season with Terra Rubra. Watch the race on one of our 3 BIG-screen TVs while enjoying fried chicken, hot homemade crab soup, hot dogs with all the trimmings, lots of munchies, and beer and soft drinks. We'll have a silent auction of NASCAR and other sports collectibles, a 50/50 raffle, and small games of chance. We'll also be raffling off a pair of tickets to an upcoming NASCAR event.
Terra Rubra Golf Tournament
Do you enjoy a good round of golf? How about free beverages brought to you on the course? What if we throw in dinner at the 19th hole? And to top it all off, how would you like to walk away with one of several cash prizes for the top teams? That's the Annual Terra Rubra Classic Golf Tournament. The tournament is held at the beautiful Links at Gettysburg, one of the finest courses in the region.
Easter Egg Hunt
Our Annual Easter Egg Hunt is mainly for the kids, but grown-ups can have as much fun as the youngsters. It's held on Saturday, the day before Easter, and starts at 1:00 at the Middleburg Ball Park. We have 3 age groups: 4-and-under, 5-9, and 10-12 years old. There are 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes in each age group for most eggs found, and whoever finds the BONUS egg in each group gets a special surprise.
