Meeting Notes
Monday, April 6
We held our Charter Night Celebration at Cozy Restaurant in Thurmont. All who attended had a good time of socialization and great food.
Monday, April 20
Attendance: We had 19 members and no guests present for the evening.
Health and Welfare: We had no reports under Health and Welfare.
Reports: Lion Linda Bowers reported that the Easter Egg Hunt had been rained out, but some parents and children stopped by and were given Easter grab bags of goodies.
Lion Linda also reported the there were 45 units of blood donated at the blood drive on Monday, March 23rd at Keysville Lutheran Church.
Lion Kevin Trump reminded us of the upcoming Golf Tournament on May 15th and said that we still need more golfers as well as tee and green sponsors and door prizes. He will also need members to help with the tournament on that day.
Lion Lyle Stutzman had 12 Scholarship Applications for review by the Education Committee. They met for a quick meeting after our regular meeting and copies were sent to committee members.
Business: Lion Brian Cox read the Slate of new Officers from the Nominating Committee for the 2009-2010 Lions year as follows:

There were no nominations from the floor. The slate was approved as read.
We approved a donation toward the Leader Dog Program. That check was presented at the Region IV Rally on April 23rd.
Lion Larry Gray won the American Heritage Essay Contest at the District Level for Lions Members and donated his winnings to the club Building Fund.
Lion Terry Grable reported on the progress of the building renovation. Work nights will be held in lieu of our regular meetings during the month of May.
The 50-50 with a value of $ 12.00 was won by Lion Lyle Stutzman and donated back to the building fund.
President Sharon adjourned the meeting at 8:29 p.m.

Club Reminders
- Our May meetings will be work nights at Middleburg Park. Eat at home and come prepared to work.
- Annual Club Dues: Due for the upcoming 2009-2010 Lions year. Please pay your dues to Lions Larry Stambaugh or Wayne Weeks. $50.00 for the first member and $25.00 for each additional member in the case of Family Units.
